Your Money & Safety
Your accounts are insured against lost or stolen cash or securities at Pershing LLC or Osaic Wealth by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), a U.S. government-chartered corporation. As a member of SIPC, securities in your account are protected up to $500,000 for lost or stolen securities.
For details, please visit www.sipc.com.
Our custodian is Pershing LLC, located in Jersey City, New Jersey. Founded in 1936, Pershing is the largest independent clearing and custody firm — a division of The Bank of New York Mellon Financial (NYSE: BNY).
Pershing holds $2.1 trillion in assets in custody. The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation has $57.8 trillion in assets under custody and administration. More information can be found at Pershing Facts at a Glance.
SCA employees do not have access to client assets. Clients' assets are held by an independent custodian, Pershing LLC, for safekeeping.
All checks from clients must be made payable to "Pershing, LLC FBO [Client Name]" — never directly to SCA or any individual advisor.
Our Partners
Osaic is our primary behind-the-scenes partner. With roots dating back to 1958, they are home to a diverse, service-driven community that believes planning for the future should be transformative, not transactional.
As one of the nation's largest independent wealth management firms, Osaic believes strongly in empowering Financial Professionals to provide objective, non-proprietary counsel — placing your unique needs above all else. Their focus on growth and innovation means we have access to premier investment and advisory planning services, high-net-worth solutions, and insurance protection products.
No. We are employees of Strategic Capital Advisors. Osaic Wealth and Pershing LLC are independent third parties that provide services to us — they are not our employers.
Working With Us
Anyone can call themselves a "financial advisor" — but a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ has gone through rigorous training, exams, and ongoing education requirements.
It also means we're held to a fiduciary standard — which means we're required to give advice that's in your best interest. Always. Not advice that benefits a company. Not advice tied to commissions. Just what's right for you.
No — we will not force you to sell any investments. Most investments will transfer to Pershing in kind without having to be sold. In some cases, certain investments may need to be sold for SC Advisors to manage them on your behalf.
We will recommend changes we believe could improve your portfolio, always with an eye toward the tax consequences, penalties, and charges associated with any sale transaction.
Initially, we develop an Investment Policy Statement together — we explain our initial recommendations, get your input, and receive your approval before proceeding.
After that, future transactions will be done at our discretion within the agreed parameters, and you will be notified via trade confirmations. Any investments you specify should not be sold will remain in the account until we receive your permission to sell.
Yes — SC Advisors works with clients across the country through secure, virtual meetings. Whether you're in DC, Texas, California, or anywhere in between, we've designed our process to be personal, proactive, and easy to access no matter your location.
We use secure tech tools to make planning feel seamless, and we keep things organized without endless back-and-forth emails.

Getting Started
Start by booking a complimentary introductory call. This isn't a sales pitch — it's a genuine conversation to explore where you are in your financial journey, what's on your mind, and where you're hoping to go.
We'll talk through the areas you'd like to focus on and what kind of support would serve you best. If it feels like the right fit, we'll walk you through the best next step — whether that's a one-time session, a full planning engagement, or a referral to another trusted resource.
You'll have a clear understanding of what working together would look like, the investment involved, and how we'd move forward — before making any decisions.
